Gala Opening Concert In the Spirit of Musicals & Spirituals With new members: Ronit Gross, Esq., Ms. Rina Shafir, Dr. Shai Horev, on the Board of Directors the Haifa Music Center opens its 12th season with a special Gala Concert featuring Bela Steinbuck at the piano. Vladimir Chernomordik: Clarinet, Maya Gutman Sopran & Amiram Zmano: Bass Bariton. the concert is sponsored by IMPACT.Concerti for flute and string orchestra from all over the globe were submitted to the Haifa International Competition for Composers. The distinct Jurors are Uri Shoham, flute (principal flutist emeritus of the IPO) Yossi Arnheim, flute (principal flutist of the IPO), Dr. David Winkler, composer (NY), Maxim Levi, composer (winner of the HMC Competition for Composers in 2001. and Ada Pelleg, conductor (Music Director/Conductor of the ISE. The winning composer will be announced by November 15th 2007. |
